Since 1990 Houston Community Services has been dedicated to providing a safe and inspiring environment that supports families of all compositions to improve their day-to-day life experiences by equipping them with the skills they need to better navigate social structures and systems. This support includes parent skill building, advocacy, encouragement, mentorship, referrals, Victim Services, as well as Early Child Education through the operation of the Beanstalk Childcare and Early Learning Centre.
Houston Community Services offers family support services via ministry referral, agency referral, and self referral.
Houston Community Services owns and operates Victim Services, which serves those affected by crime and/or traumatic events.
Houston Community Services owns and operates the Beanstalk Childcare and Early Learning Centre.
We provide food to support new community members and those experiencing life changes.
We provide household items, furniture and clothing to support community members.
We assist seniors with documentation, accessing services, and advocate for them.
We offer a free taxation program for those with low-socioeconomic status and seniors.
Our thrift store collaborates with the re-use program to assist low income residents to access goods. Everyone welcome!
