About Us
Who We Are
Since 1990 Houston Community Services has been dedicated to providing a safe and inspiring environment that supports families of all compositions to improve their day-to-day life experiences by equipping them with the skills they need to better navigate social structures and systems. This support includes parent skill building, advocacy, encouragement, mentorship, referrals, Victim Services, as well as Early Child Education through the operation of the Beanstalk Childcare and Early Learning Centre. We have extended our service to include the Houston Community Connections Foodbank, and The Vault Thriftstore located in the Houston Shopping Centre. Donations to the foodbank are graciously accepted, and volunteers applications are available on location.

We provide food to support new community members and those experiencing life changes. An appointment is required, proof of source of income, address, and identification is required. We hand out hampers on Tuesday and Thursdays
Light snacks and refreshments are available Monday to Friday 10:30 am-12:00am
The culture at the foodbank must be kept respectful in all instances.

Houston Community Services relies on the generosity of our community. Please consider donating clothing, furniture, household items, non-perishable food or monetary items. All items can be dropped off at 3232 HWY 16, Houston BC.
